Analysis of lyrics

When I had first done my research I decided to make a new version of Rihanna and Eminem's music video for Love the way you lie, but after thinking about my storyboard/script etc I decided that the conventions of the genre within the video were too strong so I would probably end up copying some aspects of the original video and put them in my own.
So that I do not do this as much I have now decided to make my music video of the song Love the way you lie (part two) as this song has not yet been released so I will not be tempted to copy parts of it.


On the first page of our story, the future seemed so bright. < This shows that the artist is looking back at the relationship
And this thing turned out so evil, I don’t know why I’m still surprised.
Even angels have their wicked schemes and you take death to new extremes.
But you’ll always be my hero, even though you lost your mind. < This shows that there is an emotional hold in the relationship. As this is the female point of view of the song, it may be as if she is answering the lyrics of the original 'Love the way you lie'

Now this gravel in our voices, glass is shattered from the fight.
In this tug of war, you’ll always win, even when I’m right. < Shows that she will always give up and let him win to prevent the arguments

With violent words and empty threats and it’s sick that all these battles are what keeps me satisfied. < this shows that they both cannot help arguing and hurting eachother as they are so used to it now

So maybe I’m a masochist < a masochist is someone who gets pleasure from recieving punishment
