Ancilary texts

Here are the ancillary texts I have produced to go with my music video, the first one I have made is a magazine poster, and the second is a website. As I was running out of time towards the end of the project and I left my ancillary texts until last, they are not as good as I would have liked them to be. I have tried to show continuity with the music video and the ancillary texts, I have done this by using quite a dull colour scheme as the music video is quite dark and sad. I have followed the conventions by using the artist as the main image of both of these texts, and also by putting a clip of the video onto the website, as after researching existing websites, I have found that this is what many artists do when they release a new song, and it may also be downloaded from their websites.

In both of my ancillary texts I have tried to use continuity in the images as well as the whole theme of the texts, with the images I have done this by dressing my artist in all dark colours, as my music video is dark so if I was to dress my artist in bright coloured clothing it would not look right and would not fit in with the rest of my project. Also I asked my artist to try and look quite serious and powerful in both of the images. The reason I have just used my female artist and not the male artist as well is because 'love the way you lie, part two' is supposed to be the female version of the original song, therefore I think it made more sense to focus the ancillary texts on the female artist.
